One Part Inspiration...

They are always written on little pieces of paper -which you usually find in the bottom of your purse, or under the seat in the vehicle, or perhaps at the bottom of of the birdcage. Well, I have started a Word file to keep track of them - not that I look at them more often, but it's just nice to have...kind of like finding 15$ in a winter coat pocket when you take it out for the season. In church today, the pastor was talking about the amazing love God has for us. He said that Paul used a "cosmic" description for the readers of Ephesians to describe the love of God. "How wide, how long, how deep, how high". This was used in the day to describe the universe. He then described how long it would take to get to various places in the universe travelling at the speed of light. The next galaxy would take millions of years to reach. This then, is a description of the beginning of God's love for us. It brought to mind the words by Fredrick M. Lehman who wrote "The Love of God" based on a Jewish poem about the same topic. "Monk" is a TV show about a detective who is obsessive compulsive. He solves the cases because he sees the smallest details that others miss. On a recent show, he said something that struck me so funny I had to blog it. The situation is that his assistant is going through a very difficult time - obviously in need of some support. He says to her: "Is there anything I can do?..that won't....require any ...commitment from me???"
