Decisions, Decisions.

Although I haven't said much about it, this is a year of milestones. In nine weeks, my #1 son graduates from high school. Two years ago, we were being initiated into the ranks of 'parents of a graduate' by my daughter.

How different this milestone has been. My daughter had definite ideas about what she would wear, and what extra outfit she had to take to the photography session, and how she would wear her hair. My son? When I asked him what he wanted to wear to his graduation, his answer was immediate. "A rain barrel and suspenders". I took him half seriously. If anyone could pull it off, it would be him.

These decisions will come soon enough. There's only seven weeks to get ready. Knowing him, we'll be out shopping a few days before to make sure he is outfitted properly.

Guys don't have the same options as girls though, so it shouldn't take as many trips. Maybe we'll make it a one-stop-shop and then head out for a slushie.

Isn't he just the sweetest thing? Those dark eyes turned blue and the black hair turned blond, and too quickly, this little guy grew taller than his dad and me. I decided to make March my month to release the expired. So far...   I have thrown out all makeup with less than one drop in the bottom of the jar.    I finally dumped the cauliflower in cheeze sauce I made for Christmas dinner.      I threw out the Pepto Bismol from 2010 - not even opened. It feels good to be rid of them.  It also makes me happy that I won't have to worry about bacteria in old makeup   And that my husband won't get sick from my cooking    And that my health has been good enough not to need the Pepto Bismol at all. Inspired by these events, I went through my closets. It is almost time to swap the winter for the summer.  My winter clothes seemed to have stood the test of time for now.  However, my shoes were showing major signs of wear.  I decided on two pairs that I need to say "Farewell" to.
