Serendipity

Today, I created a holiday. I named it "National, Buy Your Friend A Coffee" Day. What fun it was to phone my friend and announce to her that we would be celebrating this holiday together! I got such a kick out of leaving the house early. I sailed down the freeway, enjoying the beautiful scenery until I reached the exit and stopped at the coffee shop drive through. I picked up a large coffee with three creams to take to her. Of course, I hated to have her drink alone, so I picked up a large for myself too!
All day long, I felt festive. It felt even better when she told me that she'd run out of cream at home and was disappointed with not being able to start her day with a nice cup of coffee.
I may have to go on creating these National Holidays. I can see that it might be just a little addicting!

Isn't he just the sweetest thing? Those dark eyes turned blue and the black hair turned blond, and too quickly, this little guy grew taller than his dad and me. Freedom

I decided to make March my month to release the expired. So far...   I have thrown out all makeup with less than one drop in the bottom of the jar.    I finally dumped the cauliflower in cheeze sauce I made for Christmas dinner.      I threw out the Pepto Bismol from 2010 - not even opened. It feels good to be rid of them.  It also makes me happy that I won't have to worry about bacteria in old makeup   And that my husband won't get sick from my cooking    And that my health has been good enough not to need the Pepto Bismol at all. Inspired by these events, I went through my closets. It is almost time to swap the winter for the summer.  My winter clothes seemed to have stood the test of time for now.  However, my shoes were showing major signs of wear.  I decided on two pairs that I need to say "Farewell" to.
