It Followed Her to School One Day

It was one of those mornings:

  • Rush Rush Rush.
  • Quick get yourself together
  • Throw your music instruments in the van and rush to your session at the Elementary School with the Kindergarten and Grade One class.
  • Arrive at the school.
  • Throw open the doors of the van and begin taking out your instruments.
  • Rush Rush Rush.
  • Look at watch again and realize you only have a few minutes before your session.
  • Get out instruments.
  • Begin carrying instruments to the classroom.
  • Rush back for another load.
  • Come out the door, look toward the open door of the van.
  • Notice kitten standing at the doorway of the van.
  • Remember you forgot to check van before you left, for kittens who felt the need for education.
  • Look at watch again. Realize there's not enough time to return home with the kitten before the session.
  • Talk to principal who takes the kitten to the Grade Six/Seven class and asks if they are willing to kittensit until recess.
  • Heave a sigh of relief when they say a resounding "yes".
  • Realize there's a strong possibility there won't be much much learning going on that morning, but there sure will be a lot of loving.
  • Finish session and put the kitten into the van. All the way home, the kitten sits on the top of the back seat looking out the window, as if dreaming about all the things he learned in schoool that day. Maybe he's thinking he'll be able to come back one day?????

Life is one continuous blog --- it's all about having on a pair of glasses & hearing aid, that say "Hey that's an interesting happening". I am sure you go through your day thinking 'bout "what to blog 'bout"...

Thereby, thank you for thereby giving some interesting things to think of for the rest of us whose days are also full of "blog ingredients", but we just either don't take the time to put them down so others can be drawn into our enjoyment of the "ordinary of life", or we don't think we have the talent to do so, so we don't TRY...

In these days of my pain from the accident fallout, I draw encouragement from the happinesses you throw my way in great clumps that "fall all over me", either like a big pile of colourful raked leaves (that you end up having to re-rake), or a big pile of snow that brings out the kid play in you

thanks
